It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Andrew Robert Robbins, who left us far too soon on April 16, 2026, at the age of 40. Born on February 15, 1986, in Owensboro, Andrew was a beloved son of Michael and Marlene Robbins and a proud alumnus of Ohio County High School and Murray State University.
Andrew lived life to the fullest, passionately cheering for his favorite sports teams, including the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, and University of Kentucky sports. Whether he was hitting the links or enjoying a sunny day by the pool, he cherished spending time with his wife, Megan, and their two wonderful children, Sloane Taylor and Jackson Robert. He will be remembered not only for his love of sports but also for his culinary skills, often delighting family and friends with expertly smoked meats.
He married his soul mate, Megan Christine, in 2015, and together they created a warm and loving home filled with laughter, joy, and the occasional friendly competition. Andrew's spirit will live on in the memories of his cherished family, including his dear brother Nicholas and sister-in-law Sara, along with the entire extended family, which include maternal grandfather, Kenneth Smith; father-in-law, Eddie Johnson; mother-in-law, Cheralyn Blair and husband Scott; sister-in law Molly Lee and her husband Lee and brother in law, Matthew Johnson; niece, Eleanor Lee who loved him deeply. He was also a proud pet parent to his beloved cats, Maxwell and Winston, who added extra joy to his life. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Mae "Tee-Tee" Smith, and paternal grandparents Robert Gene Robbins and Dolores & Jim Huff.
A celebration of Andrew's life will take place next Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Hartford Funeral Home. Friends and family are invited to gather from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, sharing stories and laughter before the service begins at 2:00 PM. The family encourages everyone to wear blue, the color of his favorite teams. This is an opportunity to honor Andrew's vibrant spirit and celebrate the wonderful moments he brought to all of our lives.
The family welcomes you to share your favorite memories and condolences at www.hartfordfh.com. Memorial contributions can be given to the family or left at the funeral home for the children's college fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Let's remember Andrew for the joy he brought into our lives, his infectious laughter, and his unwavering love for family and friends. He may have left us in body, but his spirit will forever shine bright in our hearts.
