Carolyn Funk, a beloved daughter, sister, and mother, peacefully departed this life on February 1, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on May 1, 1938, in Ohio County, Kentucky, she was a cherished member of the community and a vibrant spirit whose warmth touched the lives of many. Daughter of the late Everett Moseley and Elizabeth Stewart Moseley, Carolyn carried the love of her family in her heart throughout her life.
She will be remembered fondly for her devotion to her family and her passion for gardening and needlework. A dedicated employee at Hartford Standard Corp, Carolyn took pride in her work and was known for her unwavering commitment and kindness.
Carolyn is survived by her beloved daughter, Pamela Funk. She is also survived by her siblings, Roy Moseley, Debbie Baird (Austin), Marie Hayden (Marty), Robert "Bob" Moseley, Cathy Logsdon (Rick), Bill Moseley (Tina), Lynn Moseley, Andy Moseley. Following her, she leaves a legacy of love that will be carried on by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law, David Morton and siblings, Tony Moseley, Tom Moseley, Ernest "Butch" Moseley, Sue Clark, Ann Rawson and Shirley Cooper.
A devoted member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and the Beda Homemakers, Carolyn was known for her generous spirit and her willingness to lend a hand to those in need. Her faith and community involvement were cornerstones of her identity.
Those who wish to honor Carolyn's life are invited to gather for visitation on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at Hartford Funeral Home. A heartfelt funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM on the same day, where friends and family will come together to share memories and celebrate her life. Carolyn will be laid to rest at Clear Run Church Cemetery beside her beloved husband.
