Elmer Lee Wright Jr.

Elmer Lee Wright Jr., a member of the community, was called to his eternal rest on November 11, 2024, in Indianapolis, IN. He was born on May 15, 1936, in Horton, KY, to the late Elmer Lee Wright Sr. and the late Sylvia Mae Schroader Wright. Elmer was survived by his daughter, Sandy Elliott; son Henry Wright; 9 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Lee Wright and a brother Kenneth Wright.

Elmer Lee Wright honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, earning the rank of Specialist 4th Class before his discharge on December 3, 1957. Following his military service, he worked as a member of the International Union Operators Engineers Local 181 in Henderson, KY. In addition to his professional endeavors, Elmer was a former Director of the Kentucky Bikers Association.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 12 noon, Saturday, November 16, 2024. Funeral services for Elmer will be 12 noon Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Hartford Funeral Home. Elmer’s final resting place will follow in the Old Bethel Cemetery.
