Marilyn Jo Tipton Stiff

Marilyn Jo Tipton Stiff, 89, of Hartford, Kentucky, peacefully departed this world surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, December 12, 2025. Born on March 8, 1936, in Ohio County, Kentucky, Marilyn was a cherished daughter of the late Onley Lee Tipton and Eythel Funk Tipton. She was united in marriage to her beloved husband, the late Cecil Elroy Stiff.

Marilyn's life was marked by dedication and hard work, including over 40 years as a skilled welder at GE Motors. Her unwavering commitment to her craft was paralleled only by her devotion to her faith. As the oldest member of Clear Run Baptist Church, she served as custodian, keeping a watchful and loving eye over the sanctuary until her health necessitated her retirement from that cherished role. She also worked for 10 years after her retirement from GE at Target.

Her vibrant spirit will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Vicki Stephens (Darrell, her favorite and least favorite son-in-law) and Tarawa "Lolly" Baughn. Marilyn also leaves behind her stepdaughter, Eleanor Northrup (Brett); granddaughter, Jennifer Bratcher (Jason); and two beloved great-grandsons, Blake and Kyle Bratcher (Emily). She will be fondly remembered by her niece, Tracy Mifflin, and nephew, Shane Tipton, as well as her beloved furbabies, Lettie and Toby.

The celebration of Marilyn's remarkable life will be held at Clear Run Baptist Church. A visitation will take place on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, marking the opportunity for friends and family to gather and share fond memories. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 Noon, where stories and reflections will be shared in honor of a life well-lived.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Humane Shelter of your choice, honoring Marilyn's love for animals.
