Ruby Mae Davis

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ruby Mae Massie Davis, aged 97, of Utica, Kentucky. Ruby peacefully departed this life on Saturday, August 29, 2026, in Hartford, Kentucky. Born on March 31, 1929, to the late Noel and Mayme Massie, she was a beloved daughter, devoted wife to the late Floyd E. Davis, loving mother, and cherished grandmother.

Ruby's journey included many roles, and she dedicated a significant part of her life to her work at General Electric and Thomas Industries, where she touched the lives of many with her unwavering spirit and work ethic. However, it was her role as a mother, grandmother and great grandmother that defined her life. She took great joy in her children, DeLecia Heifner (Dwayne), Michael Davis, and was especially proud of her grandson, Nathanial Heifner, and her two great-grandchildren, Stella and Wyatt Heifner. Ruby's family was her pride and joy, and she fostered deep connections that will carry on through the generations.

Ruby's family will receive friends and loved ones on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon at Hartford Funeral Home. A funeral service celebrating her wonderful life will follow at 12:00 noon. Ruby will be laid to rest in the serene Bells Run Cemetery, where her spirit will remain among the beautiful memories of her family and friends.

Her kindness, strength, and love will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
