Thomas R. Mattos

Thomas R. Mattos, age 70, of Hartford, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. 

Born on December 28, 1955, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late John and Pearl Mienzer Mattos. Thomas lived a life filled with adventure and passion. He cherished his time as an instrumentation technologist at a power plant in Florida, where he made lasting memories and friendships. Beyond his professional achievements, he was known for his love of the open road, often found riding his beloved Harley-Davidson or enjoying playful moments with his dogs. Thomas's genuine spirit and laughter brought joy to all who knew him.

He is survived by his son, Thomas J. Mattos and his wife Shannon; his daughter, Natalie Stevens and her husband John; six beloved grandchildren; and two brothers, Earl Mattos and his wife Janice, and Rick Mattos and his wife Laura. His legacy of kindness and strength will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He was also preceded in death by a son, Jesse Mattos; two sisters Gloria Maletta, Alberta Newcom; and three brothers, Jack, John & Joe Mattos.

The family will receive friends for a time of remembrance on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hartford Funeral Home. A celebration of Thomas's life will follow at 7:00 PM in the funeral home. As we gather to honor Thomas, we invite those who knew and loved him to share in this moment of reflection and celebration.
